BGMFREE
BGMFREE Public Use License
Free BGMFREE public tracks may be used freely as background music, but they must not be claimed as exclusive private music.
What you can do
You may download, play, edit, publish, and use free BGMFREE public tracks as background music in videos, livestreams, stores, cafes, restaurants, games, apps, podcasts, presentations, social posts, and personal or commercial projects.
Attribution is appreciated but not required for free public tracks unless a specific track page says otherwise. Keeping the track page URL and track ID is recommended because it helps document the source of the music.
What you cannot do
You may not register BGMFREE public tracks with YouTube Content ID, audio fingerprinting claim systems, music distribution claim systems, or any rights database that would block other people from using the same public track.
You may not claim exclusive ownership over free public tracks, sell them as private custom compositions, upload them as if you created the underlying recording independently, or use them to issue copyright claims against other BGMFREE users.
Evidence and disputes
Each public track should be treated as both an audio file and a license record. Keep the public track page, download link, creation date, and track ID when you publish content with BGMFREE music.
If a false claim appears, use the BGMFREE track page and license text as supporting evidence. BGMFREE can update pages, metadata, and policy wording to reduce false ownership claims and improve public-use clarity.
Important limitations
BGMFREE blocks direct cover requests, famous song imitation, specific artist imitation, and reference-audio workflows during the public MVP stage. Users are responsible for checking whether a generated track fits the rules of their own platform, distributor, or business.
This page is practical product guidance, not legal advice. If your use is high-risk, regulated, or tied to a major commercial campaign, consult a qualified professional before publishing.
